A student from Manchester has become the 29th holidaymaker to successfully ‘Bid on a Break’ with Jet2holidays this year, seeing her secure a seven-night holiday to Benidorm in Spain for just £20.92.
Sophie Kearins placed a bid of £20.92 for the sunshine getaway, through the tour operator’s ‘Bid for a Break’ campaign. After being told that she had entered the lowest unique bid, Sophie purchased a seven-night stay at the 4-star Marina Benidorm in Spain, for two people for that same price.
As the popular campaign, which gives holidaymakers the opportunity to bid for their next holiday each week on the tour operator’s mobile app, ends for this year, Sophie is the 29th and final holidaymaker of the year to successfully ‘Bid on a Break’ with Jet2holidays. Other successful holidaymakers have bid on and secured getaways with Jet2holidays to the Canary Islands, Greece, Cyprus, Spain, the Algarve, and Turkey this year, with successful bids starting from as little as £1.40.
With a new holiday available to bid on each week, holidaymakers have had lots of opportunity to successfully bid on a break throughout 2022. To get involved, all customers had to do was download the Jet2 mobile app on the App Store or Google Play and add in their bid to the nearest pence. If they were the only user to bid that amount and that amount was the lowest, they bought the holiday for that same price.

Sophie said: “I have entered Jet2holidays’ Bid for a Break every week since I went away with Jet2holidays earlier this year to Portugal. I saw the advertisement for the Bid for a Break competition and thought I had nothing to lose! I didn't have much of a strategy for my bidding amount, I just put the first four numbers that sprang to my mind. I can’t believe I actually won and can’t wait to go on holiday with Jet2holidays again!”
