Jet2.com proved it's the port of call for Portugal after scooping a top accolade at the Portugal Trade Awards 2013. Beating the likes of TUI Travel and Thomas Cook, Jet2.com was crowned Best International Operator to Portugal.
Organised by Portugal's leading travel trade publication, Publituris, the awards are the highest esteemed event of the Portuguese Travel Industry. The ceremony took place at the BTL in Lisbon, and was honoured with the new Portuguese Secretary of State for Tourism's first public address. The Presidents of both the Portuguese Tourist Board and Portuguese Association of Travel & Tourist Awards were also present. These prestigious guests applauded as Janice Mather, Jet2.com & Jet2holidays General Manager Airports & Tourism Organisations, took to the stage to collect the Best International Operator Award.

The Best International Operator to Portugal award will be added to a trophy cabinet that's become considerably bigger over the past year for Jet2.com & Jet2holidays. In 2013, Jet2.com also won Best Short Haul Airline at the coveted Globe Travel Awards for the second year running. And in late 2012, it won Best Airline for Groups at the Group Travel Awards and Best Holiday/Charter Airline at the Scottish Passenger Agents Association (SPAA) Awards. Jet2holidays joined the celebrations by scooping two SPAA accolades: Best Short Haul Mainstream Tour Operator and Best Agent Friendly Website.
