Jet2holidays and Jet2CityBreaks will continue to be named a Which? Recommended Provider, after being praised for their customer first approach. It means Jet2holidays has received this prestigious status for four consecutive years, while Jet2CityBreaks is recognised for the second year running.
The recognition follows on from Which’s? Best and Worst Package Holiday Providers survey, which has seen the UK’s leading tour operator to many destinations across the Mediterranean and Canary Islands come out joint top in the survey. The survey assessed travel companies for how they looked after customers throughout the pandemic to reveal the most highly rated companies.
Based on the opinions of thousands of customers, the survey asked Which? members about their experiences of booking and going on holiday, with different travel companies. Jet2holidays scored five out of five for ‘customer service’, ‘description matching reality’ and ‘organisation of holiday’. The results can be viewed here.
As well as the survey, the consumer champion also assessed travel companies’ refund policies for cancelled holidays due to the pandemic, with only the highest rated package holiday providers being named a Which? Recommended Provider.
When it comes to its handling of the Covid pandemic, Which? found that Jet2holidays’ refunds and cancellations policy “is one of the best” and “is a reliable choice and refunds quickly if anything goes wrong.”
After assessing Jet2holidays, Which’s? final verdict on the package holiday specialist when asked Should I book with Jet2holidays? was “Absolutely. Jet2holidays has proven itself to be a leader of the pack for customer service and inexpensive quality holidays.”
Jet2CityBreaks has also received Which? Recommended Provider status. The UK’s largest operator of city breaks to Europe scored highly across all factors, in particular ‘description matching reality’, ‘customer service’ and ‘organisation of holiday’.
These successes come just weeks after Jet2holidays was named Travel Brand of the Year 2022 at this year’s Which? Travel Awards, in recognition of the way that the companies have treated customers, both during the pandemic as well as now that international travel has reopened.
With international travel back to normal, resulting in strong demand for flights and holidays, the leading tour operator received praise for customer service, quality, and value for money, seeing it win the prestigious title for the second time in five years. Which? also commended Jet2holidays for the way the company has looked after customers and independent travel agents during the pandemic, processing refunds swiftly and smoothly.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “The last two years have been the most turbulent for the travel industry, but we are enormously proud of how we overcame this challenge to be continually recognised for the way we have looked after customers and independent travel agents. To be awarded with prestigious Which? Recommended Provider status for not only package holidays but for city breaks too is testament to an exceptional team of colleagues who have worked extremely hard to put our customers first. With travel now back to normal, we are looking forward to welcoming thousands of happy holidaymakers onboard and demonstrating why we are the best in our industry for customer service. There is a great deal of demand for ATOL protected package holidays and city breaks and these latest accolades means we are anticipating a successful year ahead.”
