Community, Announcements

Captain Adnan Rai and Senior Cabin Crew Member Laura Dalgetty, from our Glasgow Airport team, paid a visit to The Glasgow Academy (Newlands Campus) recently to say thank you to the children for generously donating money to our charity partner, Hope for Children, and to give them a taste of life working for our award-winning airline.

The school recently held a ‘Money Week’, which saw the children in Primary Years 1-4 collect unwanted currency. They managed to collect more than £145 in total, and have generously donated this to Hope for Children – an incredibly kind gesture.

Adnan and Laura visited the school to show our gratitude, and they had a ball talking to the children about our operation at Glasgow Airport and what their roles are within the company.

They were warmly received by all the staff and children, and Hope for Children have also written to the children and staff to say thank you.

With donations such as this, Hope for Children can continue their vital work improving children’s access to quality education and healthcare, whilst empowering their families to support themselves sustainably. This means that children are better able to create a positive future for themselves and their communities.
