Kirsty Connor, a married Mum from Giffnock near Glasgow, is flying high after winning our Party Plane competition.
Kirsty, 35, won a nationwide public vote after her ‘Party Plane’ was chosen from thousands of entries to reach the final stage of the Jet2holidays Party Plane competition. It means she has won a weekend in Majorca flying on her very own VIP party plane with 99 of her friends and family, complete with celebrity guest Rylan Clark-Neal!
We launched the Party Plane competition to celebrate the arrival of the 100th aircraft into our fleet. To win the aircraft for a weekend, people were invited to visit partyplane.jet2holidays.com and create their very own party plane, with the winning entrant flying on the actual aircraft to Majorca, where they will head to the 4-star Melia Calvia Beach in Majorca for the weekend.
Kirsty submitted her “Just Plane Lucky” entry, filling the aircraft with 99 friends and family including her husband John, as well as friends from an online community group. Kirsty joined the online group while she was on maternity leave and looking for a hobby while she was awake during the night feeding her baby. The group has members from across the UK, and although they interact daily, the Party Plane Trip will represent the first time that many of them get to meet each other in person.
Her upbeat and creative submission won the public vote thanks to a fantastic video entry based on the soundtrack to the Jet2holidays TV advert, complete with lucky pants, Rylan-themed cake and fancy dress outfits.
The ‘Just Plane Lucky’ tag has certainly stuck, as Kirsty will celebrate her 36th birthday the day before she flies, and her husband John celebrates the same birthday just a week prior.
Kirsty said: “I am just plane stunned to have won this amazing competition! We worked tirelessly for three weeks to put this entry together and I cannot believe that we have been chosen from the thousands of fantastic entries.
“It has been an amazing experience and it has really brought everyone in our group together. We’ve all been through our own personal battles in some way or another, but we use each other’s positivity and support to channel each other towards better things, and it doesn’t get better than this. John and I enjoy our birthdays this month so we’ll definitely use the Party Plane as a means to celebrate with those close to us.”

Kirsty’s winning entry was chosen in a public vote out of nine finalists from across the UK that were shortlisted from thousands by Rylan himself.
Rylan Clark-Neal said: “I was absolutely blown away by the thousands of entries that Jet2holidays received, but Kirsty’s showed so much fun and creativity. She really deserves this for all the effort and hard work that she has put in.
