Both Jet2holidays and our Head of Trade, Alan Cross, were recognised at last night’s GRAFTAS, the North East’s awards dinner for the travel industry.
For the second year running, Jet2holidays scooped the prestigious Best Tour Operator award, as the travel industry yet again recognised our package holidays that you can trust.
In addition, Jet2holidays’ Head of Trade, Alan Cross (right in picture of our trade team), picked up a special accolade for Outstanding Contribution to the Travel Industry. The award recognises Alan’s 39 years in the travel industry, which includes nine years working here at Jet2holidays. During this time our trade team has grown from two to 16 and we have grown to become the UK’s second largest UK tour operator.
Hosted at the Hilton Gateshead, over 180 agents and operators came together to celebrate and recognise the best of travel and tourism in the region.
Operating from Newcastle Airport since 2005, we have enjoyed years of successive growth thanks to our popularity with both travel agents and customers in the North East, and we will operate our biggest ever flights and holidays programme from Newcastle Airport for summer 2018, with almost 900,000 seats on sale to 31 destinations, including brand new and exclusive Bodrum and Halkidiki.
