We’re happy to announce more ski flights from Birmingham and Manchester Airports to the popular Italian ski destination and host of the 2006 Winter Olympics - Turin
In response to local skiers jetting off to the slopes, we’ve added weekly Saturday services to Turin from the end of December through to April, giving snow sports fans even more chance to get a piste of the action.
The addition of a Saturday service means we now have over 11,000 Turin seats on sale from Birmingham Airport and over 17,000 form Manchester! Services will also be operating on Saturdays and Sundays from both this winter.
This is part of a wider ski programme, with more than 135,000 ski seats available to the best slopes in Europe from Birmingham and Manchester combined. We’ve scheduled a choice of weekday and weekend flights from both airports, with flights perfectly timed for those looking for a weekend or short-break on the slopes.
Ski destinations from Birmingham Airport include:
- Turin – NOW TWO weekly services, with an additional Saturday service on top of an existing Sunday service
- Geneva – three weekly flights with services on Monday, Friday and Saturday
- Grenoble – two weekly services, with weekend flights on Saturday and Sunday
- Salzburg – weekly Saturday service
Key programme developments for winter 2017/18 from Manchester include:
- Turin – NOW THREE weekend services, with two flights on a Saturday and one service on a Sunday
- Geneva – Up to seven weekly flights including services on Monday, Thursday and Friday. More weekend choices with two flights on Saturdays and Sundays
- Andorra (Barcelona) – Up to four weekly flights including services on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday
- Grenoble – three weekly services with flights on Saturday and Sunday
- Salzburg – three weekly services with flights on Saturday and Sunday
- Lyon – weekly Saturday service
The legacy of Turin’s 2006 Winter Olympics means that skiers can enjoy speedy transfers to well-established skiing resorts such as Pila, Vars, Le Corbier and Vald’Isere, each boasting spectacular downhill runs. This leaves skiers to focus all their energies on the slopes, and with 400km of piste at the Milky Way area alongside the stunning mountainous backdrop of the Monterosa network, there is plenty to enjoy.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: “Our ski flights to Turin are proving to be enormously popular with skiers from Birmingham Airport. Just as we have done since launching in Birmingham earlier this year, we are adding more flights in response to demand. With friendly flight times on a weekend, alongside 22kg of baggage and ski allowance, we’re confident of very busy and popular ski flights to all of our ski destinations, including Turin, from Birmingham Airport this winter.”
