Whisked away: 10 years of Jet2holidays celebrated at Newcastle Airport

There was cake, celebration, and an escape from the UK weather as we marked 10 years of Jet2holidays at Newcastle Airport yesterday.
To mark the occasion, departing customers from Newcastle Airport were treated to the airport’s specially designed cake. The luggage-themed cake is the latest entry into our June ‘Cake Off’, with UK airports designing cakes to celebrate 10 years of Jet2holidays and our social media fans voting for the winner.
The celebrations took on added significance as we also celebrated three route anniversaries from Newcastle Airport. As well as the 10th anniversary of Jet2holidays launching from the airport, yesterday marked the 10th anniversary of our popular Majorca route, as well as 5 years since we started operating to Dubrovnik and Reus.
So, not only did our customers get to escape the gloomy UK weather with us, but they also got to sample some fantastic cake. Talk about getting whisked away…!
