Jet2.com and Jet2holidays were the big winners at the North East’s first ever awards dinner for the travel industry, scooping two accolades.
The Graftas, organised by former South Shields travel agent Darren Phillips, saw over 270 agents and operators from the travel industry come together at the Hilton Gateshead to celebrate and recognise the best of travel and tourism in the region.
Hot on the heels of being the only UK airline to be recognised as a Which? ‘Recommended Provider’, Jet2.com scooped the award for Best Airline, with Jet2holidays winning the prestigious award for Best Tour Operator.
Operating from Newcastle Airport since 2005, we have enjoyed years of successive growth thanks to our popularity with both travel agents and customers in the North East, and we will operate our BIGGEST EVER flights and holidays programme from Newcastle Airport for summer 2017, with over 800,000 seats flying to 29 destinations.
