Jet2.com showed true ‘girl power’ this International Women’s Day, with a flagship flight operated entirely by women.
The 16:30 Amsterdam flight from Leeds Bradford Airport was checked-in, loaded, boarded, pushed back and crewed by 12 friendly females, making Jet2.com history!
From the captain, first officer and duty manager to cabin crew, ramp team, dispatcher and passenger service agents – everything that goes into getting an aircraft off the ground safely and on time was ‘manned’ by the leading leisure airline’s ladies.
Louise Iveson, a Jet2.com First Officer on today’s flight, said: “We’re all thrilled to have been part of this unique flight. It’s fantastic that Jet2.com has helped us mark International Women’s Day and celebrate the great work we women do in powering flights and providing a great experience for our customers.
“I hope today has shown other women wanting to join the industry that there is nothing stopping them from achieving their ambitions. Here come the girls!”
