McLarens Take Pole Position with Jet2.com

It was champagne celebrations at check in this morning as Jet2.com today gave another team McLaren pole position at this weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix.
Richard and Claire McLaren, who share their surname with the sixth place F1 team, were given a surprise ‘pit stop’ with Gold weekend tickets to the event as they checked in for their flight to Budapest from Edinburgh Airport.
Avid motor racing fans, the local couple had planned their week-long break to the Hungarian capital to celebrate Claire’s 40th birthday with a day at the event forming part of her celebrations. Now, courtesy of the leading leisure airline and Hungarian Tourist Board, the McLarens will soak up the entire weekend with these VIP tickets giving them ‘pole position’ to take in all the action.
Commenting on her surprise gift, Claire said: “What an amazing treat – we could never have imagined experiencing the event in such style as these tickets are worth over £500. We were excited before but now we can’t thank Jet2.com and the Hungarian Tourist Board enough for this generous giveaway, which is possibly the best birthday present I’ve ever had – we are absolutely over the moon and can’t wait to jet off to take in all the action. Despite our team namesake though, we’ll be cheering on my favourites Marc Webber and Paul di Resta!”
