Beatlemania Comes to Tenerife

Decades after their initial success, iconic British band The Beatles are the focus of a celebration of their music as part of a festival that takes place shortly on Tenerife in the Canary Islands.

From the end of April and into the first two weeks of May, cheap flights to Tenerife are sure to be in demand as the island plays host to a number of Beatles-themed events. From film screenings, to exhibitions, to live music shows, visitors to the island are in for a real treat.

Indulge in the Beatles

The Fab Four-themed celebrations are set to run for 13 days in celebration of the 50th anniversary of The Beatles visiting Tenerife, which was their first holiday together as a band after releasing their debut full-length record, ‘Please Please Me’. This visit took place back in 1963 when Beatlemania was just taking hold, but the appetite for Liverpool's most famous sons is still huge and tourists and locals alike to set to flock to the events in celebration of the anniversary.

The events on offer are set to appeal to a variety of ages and tastes, with cover bands offering light entertainment and lectures and film screenings covering the band's history for those who want a deeper insight into the buzz behind The Beatles in Tenerife.

Visitors wishing to take part in the island's take on Beatlemania are encouraged to book cheap flights to Tenerife now. The event takes place from April 27 - May 9 across Tenerife and more information can be found at local tourism offices on the island.
