It’s always nice to return home from a getaway with a suitcase full of souvenirs, whether you’re a stickler for cheap tourist tat or a local flea market connoisseur! If it’s the latter, you’ll find plenty of great places to bargain-hunt after arriving on flights to Budapest, thanks to its numerous vintage shops and extensive markets where there’s always a gem or two to be found.

If vintage clothing to wear on your Budapest break is what you’re after, you’re sure to find some unique items in the Antifactory Vintage Home Shop. It’s not unusual to find vintage designer pieces among the custom-made shirts that bear the shop’s motif, a deer, plus the prices are too good to miss.

Treats to Treasure

For antiques, make a special trip to Omada, which is known among the locals to be a real Pandora’s Box of trinkets and treasures. From vintage designer jewellery to antique home wares and perfume bottles, you’ll always discover something unusual and irresistible!

On the other hand, if you’d rather take a more hands-on approach, rifle through the goods and indulge in a spot of bargaining, don’t miss the City Park Flea Market. It takes place every Saturday & Sunday next to the Petőfi Csarnok, with stalls filled with almost everything you can imagine, including handmade treats – so put a trip to the City Park Flea Market on your to-do list after arriving on cheap flights to Budapest with Jet2.com.
