Prague is one of Europe’s most vibrant cities and is a fabulous destination for the film lover. With so many cheap flights to Prague with Jet2.com now available, those in the Czech capital during March 4th-13th can enjoy the One World Film Festival. With a strong emphasis on human rights, it is the largest festival of documentaries of its kind.
Young people may want to wait a bit later in the year to make their visit, with the YMCA Festival taking place over August 4th–10th. With shows, music, dance and world food, this is a venue to meet other like-minded young people from all over the world.
Great Art and Good Eats
Prague is also a fantastic place for fans of great food and art nouveau, and the two come together nicely at the Sarah Bernhardt restaurant. Many of Prague’s restaurants offer deals on two-for-one dining and give good value for money, in keeping with the cheap flights to Prague offered by Jet2.com. Those who like some history with their food could try the Medieval Tavern in the heart of the Old Town, where swordsmen, jugglers, and musicians are on hand to entertain diners as they sample some great Czech beers, such as the highly-regarded Pilsner Urquell.
Lastly, Prague’s music and theatre should not be overlooked, and Carmen, Aida and the Magic Flute are just three of the many operas that can be seen at the Prague State Opera in March. Indeed the programme is full throughout the summer, with many fantastic performances to delight the music lover.
