Announcements

When many people think about Majorca, they instantly think of sandy beaches covered with lobster-red sunbathers and noisy late night clubs. Well, that may have been the Majorca of the past, but things have definitely now changed for the better.

The resort of Magaluf is soon to be known as the Calvia Beach Resort, where holidaymakers will find three sparkling new hotels and a range of boutiques, restaurants and bars all aimed at the more sophisticated guest. One attraction contained within this new resort is the incredible Flowrider flowboarding facilities that have been installed there.

Beachfront Boarding

If you have never heard of flowboarding before, it is something like a mixture between snowboarding, surfing and skateboarding! It’s a sport that was first developed in both Cape Town and California and has been tweaked into the Flowriders that are in place today, and proving to be popular with keen surfers and enthusiastic amateurs alike.

The main attraction is the Flowbarrel 10, a 10 feet high barrel wave that’s aimed at the more daring flowboarder. Those with a taste for something a little less dramatic will enjoy the Flowrider’s bodyboarding facility, and its gentler, more forgiving waves.

Climb Aboard

This new and improved resort is sure to be a hit with holidaymakers from around the globe, so make sure that you get your cheap flights to Majorca booked early through Jet2.com to ensure you don’t miss out on any of the extreme flowboarding action.
