So many attractions

As you’ll be near to three big cities, you’ll have lots of great attractions to choose from. Close to Nottingham, Sherwood Forest is famed for being connected to the legend of Robin Hood, while the Derby Museum and Art Gallery hosts some brilliant works by Joseph Wright. You could also make the journey to Alton Towers, the UK’s second most visited theme park.

Village life

The proximity of the Peak District means you can easily explore some stunning villages. Bakewell is an idyllic market town of cobbled stone houses, and it’s also known for the delicious Bakewell Pudding. There’s also the delightful spa town of Buxton that’s perfect for simply strolling around before visiting the National Park.

The great outdoors

The Peak District is around 40 miles away from East Midlands Airport. It’s one of the UK’s most popular National Parks, with famous natural attractions including the 517m-high mountain of Mam Tor, and Thor’s Cave. It’s also the setting for the stately home, Chatsworth House, with grand architecture and beautiful gardens.
