Jet2CityBreaks has today announced the launch of two brand-new destinations for Winter 24/25, with city and Christmas market breaks to Bratislava, as well as festive trips to Malmo available to book now.
The UK’s leading operator of European city breaks has responded to strong demand from UK holidaymakers looking to explore a new city or enjoy a festive getaway this winter, by expanding its network with the launch of Jet2CityBreak packages to Bratislava and Malmo.
The addition of these two new destinations gives customers and independent travel agents even more choice and flexibility for Winter 24/25, as well as the opportunity to enjoy a winter break to two new countries in the Jet2 network - Sweden and Slovakia.
City break packages have gone on sale to Bratislava from 18th October 2024 until 19th May 2025. Flights will operate to Vienna Airport, with twice weekly services (Monday and Friday) available from Manchester and Birmingham Airports. After flying into Vienna Airport and taking a quick hop over the border, customers will have the bright lights of Bratislava to explore as they wish.
On top of this, customers looking to enjoy a festive getaway in the countdown to Christmas can book a Christmas market trip to Bratislava in November and December 2024 from nine UK airports. Additional services will operate to Vienna for the Christmas markets period, meaning customers will be able to book a festive trip to Bratislava from Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle International.
Customers travelling to Bratislava via Vienna Airport with Jet2CityBreaks will be able to choose from a selection of 4-star hotels located in the heart of the city, giving them the chance to explore all that this charming destination has to offer.
Considered a hidden gem, Bratislava is nestled along the Danube River, bordered by Austria and Hungary, and offers scenic landscapes, culture and history and traditional cuisine. It is the ideal choice for those who want the buzz of a capital city, and when it comes to culture and sightseeing, Bratislava packs a real punch, with museums, castles, theatres and more to uncover. Magical markets come to town over the Christmas period too, so holidaymakers can get their festive fix and then some.
The second new destination to go on sale today with Jet2CityBreaks is Malmo, meaning Christmas market breaks are now available to book for this winter to the coastal city in southern Sweden.
In response to more customers looking to explore some of the most magical destinations in Europe throughout the festive season, Christmas market getaways to Malmo have gone on sale from 29th November to 23rd December 2024 from Leeds Bradford and Newcastle International Airports.
Customers booking a Christmas market trip to Malmo will fly into Copenhagen Airport. From there, they will take the direct train over the Oresund Bridge that links Denmark and Sweden, before arriving in Malmo. Two weekly services (Monday and Friday) will operate from Leeds Bradford and Newcastle International Airports to Copenhagen Airport this winter.
A range of hotels, available to book now with Jet2CityBreaks, give customers the opportunity to enjoy an authentic festive experience over the Christmas season in the Swedish city.
Customers can look forward to a Christmas extravaganza in Malmo as the city’s streets are lit up with twinkling lights and draped in traditional decorations. Wooden market stalls sell everyone’s favourite seasonal treats, as well as local Swedish delicacies like warming glogg and saffron buns. After exploring Malmo’s famous Christmas markets, holidaymakers can enjoy a spot of ice skating or a horse-drawn carriage ride.
