Our biggest ever summer programme is NOW ON SALE from Edinburgh Airport with two brand new destinations in Bodrum and Corfu, over 800,000 seats, and even more great news coming soon!
For Summer 19, we will fly to 34 sun and city destinations, giving customers an unrivalled choice from their local airport.
The addition of over 50,000 seats means that over 800,000 seats are going on sale, a capacity increase of 7% on last summer. This expanded programme also means two larger Boeing 737-800 aircraft will come into the fleet at Edinburgh Airport, replacing 737-300 aircraft, providing more seats to popular destinations. On the back of this growth, new jobs will be created in Cabin Crew, Flight Deck and Ground Operations positions.
This expanded programme includes TWO NEW DESTINATIONS:
- Bodrum – weekly Tuesday services between May and October, giving local holidaymakers access to this stunning corner of Turkey, with charming resorts adored by beach-lovers and history-lovers alike
- Corfu – weekly Thursday services between May and October, giving local holidaymakers access to this fabulous island, which features secret coves, olive-strewn hills and fantastic beach resorts such as Sidari, Kavos and Barbati.
In addition, holidaymakers can look forward to more flights and holidays to some of their favourite destinations such as the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Mainland Spain, the Algarve, Greece and Turkey. The additional flights and holidays are as follows:
- Canary Islands – 11 weekly services to the Canaries. This includes four weekly services to Tenerife, three weekly services to Lanzarote, as well as twice weekly services to Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura
- Alicante – increased to daily service, meaning a seat capacity increase of 13% and more flexible durations
- Faro – now a daily service, meaning a seat capacity increase of 15%
- Majorca – increased to a daily service, providing more choice and flexibility for holidaymakers
- Rhodes – increased to two weekly services
- Antalya – number of weekly services increased to two, in just the second summer of operation
- Dalaman – number of weekly services increased to two.
Today’s announcement comes in response to continued demand for great value package holidays from local holidaymakers. With more destinations, services and frequencies, they are spoilt for choice when it comes to where and when they would like to getaway, with more flexible durations available.
A spokesman for Edinburgh Airport said: “Given the wintery Easter we’ve just had this news of more choice on summer sun from Edinburgh Airport with Jet2.com is extremely welcome! We’re delighted to be working with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays to make sure Scots have the best choice ever this summer and it’s great to be adding Bodrum and Corfu to the options available.”
