Jet2.com has today launched three new city and short break destinations from Manchester Airport for summer 2014 - Bergerac, Jersey and Vienna.

Jet2.com’s brand new flights to Vienna from Manchester are the only direct service from the North of the UK. The three times weekly summer service will begin operating on 2nd May 2014 with prices starting from £40 per person, including taxes.

Summer short break lovers can also take their pick from the picturesque French market town of Bergerac – the only direct service available from the region – or the beautiful Channel Island, Jersey, with flights starting from £31 per person, including taxes.

Steve Heapy, Chief Executive Officer of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: “We are seeing a growing number of local customers supplementing their main summer holiday with a series of shorter weekend trips, so it made sense to further expand our city and short break offering from the North West with this fantastic trio of destinations.

We’re really excited about next summer, which is going to be our biggest yet at Manchester Airport. Our continued growth clearly demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing local customers an unrivalled choice of great value flights and holidays to the top European destinations.”

Stephen Turner, Aviation Commercial Director for MAG, Manchester Airport’s parent company, said: “We are delighted to welcome the continued growth of Jet2.com and the introduction of three new routes including Vienna, which is currently the largest unserved European destination at the airport. This announcement continues the success of the Fly Manchester campaign, delivering direct connectivity to key European and Worldwide destinations.”
