One of the most popular ski areas is the Ski Amadé, a vast network made up of well-known resorts like Flachau, Wagrain and Altenmarkt. With over 760km of slopes, modern lifts and fab facilities, it’s ideal for families, beginners and seasoned skiers alike. Saalbach and Hinterglemm are also prime picks. Both resorts are perfectly positioned in the heart of the SkiCircus region, where a variety of terrain welcomes all skillsets with open arms. Kitzbühel is well worth a visit too, with just as much to do on the slopes as off. We’re talking a casino, bowling alley, cinema and more.
When it comes to winter holidays with the little ones, ski-in, ski-out accommodation is a big plus. Obertauern delivers on this front, and many others, including its snow-sure slopes and range of activities. Filzmoos also packs a winning punch, with its relaxed vibe and fantastic ski schools. Many resorts near Salzburg offer cross-country trails and winter hiking, so there’s really something for everyone!
