Nearest ski resorts

If you want to spend more time skiing and less time travelling, opt for a resort that’s closer to the airport. Igls, Seefeld and Mayrhofen are all great choices with shorter transfer times.

Highest resort

Pitztal Glacier is Austria’s highest resort, sitting at a whopping 3,440m and offering far-reaching alpine views an hour’s drive from Innsbruck. The highest ski point is marked by a modern ski station, Café 3440, which is also Austria’s highest vantage point and is open all year round.

Biggest ski area

The Arlberg region is Austria’s biggest ski area, with over 305km of slopes to explore across the villages of St. Anton am Arlberg, St. Christoph, Stuben, Lech, Zürs, Warth and Schröcken. It’s got a world-class reputation, thanks to its runs for every ability and age.

Innsbruck in summer

There’s plenty to do in Innsbruck during summer, both in the great outdoors, as well as in the city itself. It’s the ideal place to offer you the best of both worlds. When the temperatures can reach the mid-twenties, this part of Austria is dreamy in the rays too. So, trade in your salopettes and ski goggles for shorts and comfy shoes, and you’ll be in your element in this enchanting emerald wilderness.
