A Jet2.com and Jet2holidays Finance Apprentice has been named the winner of the Apprentice Award for Citizenship yesterday (Tuesday 12th December) at Kaplan’s first ever apprenticeship awards.
Charlotte Murgatroyd, who is currently completing the Level 4 Professional Accountancy/Taxation Technician Apprenticeship, was nominated by Katie Rankin, Emerging Talent and Careers Manager and Helen Driver, General Manager – Group Finance. Charlotte has gone above and beyond to promote apprenticeships and educate students and teachers on the opportunities and routes into industry that apprenticeships provide.
The aim of the Kaplan Awards is to celebrate and recognise the success and achievements of apprentices and line managers across our accountancy and tax, banking and financial services, and data and technology programmes.
Kaplan commented that Charlotte’s application was a truly outstanding nomination, beating hundreds and hundreds of entries in an immensely tough field.
The awards ceremony took place at The Shard in London, where attendees enjoyed afternoon tea and celebratory drinks.
Katie Rankin commented, “Charlotte is a fantastic advocate for apprenticeships and has been involved in a number of key projects to engage with schools, students and the wider community to promote the opportunities that apprenticeships provide at every level. She has shown dedication to her studies, opting to challenge herself to complete a higher level than originally planned, exceeding her targets and is due to finish her apprenticeship ahead of her planned end date. I am confident that Charlotte will go far in her career with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.”
