Rally car driving came at the top of a list of activities picked by these people, and 58% of them plan to try it on their next holiday.

It was not just the young age brackets that desired an active holiday. Around 65% of 35 to 44 year olds fancied trying rally car driving, and even 38% of 55 to 64 year olds also had the desire to get behind the wheel of a rally car.

Water Based Sports A Favourite

It was also recorded that two thirds of the adults questioned had already taken part in at least one of the activities on the list on a previous holiday. Some of them said they had been inspired by a recent sporting event they saw on TV, which suggests why rally car driving was such a popular activity.

Among the other popular activities were water based sports, such as scuba diving and sailing. At least 40% of the holidaymakers wanted to have a go at a water sport of some sort. Choosing cheap flights to Tenerife and other sunny destinations means vacationers can give themselves a greater allowance to spend on activities.
