Terrific Canary Island Trio Launches Jet2holidays’ Biggest Ever Year

Jet2holidays today gave customers checking in for the inaugural flight to Tenerife an extra special surprise to mark the start of its BIGGEST EVER YEAR at Edinburgh Airport.
The 189 passengers were given a true sunshine send off with exclusive vouchers for Siam Park and Loro Parque, two of the world’s top tourist attractions. And there was plenty of themed fun in the check in area to celebrate this Tenerife treat!
In addition to Tenerife, inaugural flights to two more new Canary Island gems will depart this week; Lanzarote on Sunday 14th February and Gran Canaria on Monday 15th February. These hotspots are three of 12 NEW DESTINATIONS available to Scottish customers in 2016, marking Jet2holidays’ biggest ever growth at Edinburgh Airport and making it the largest holiday operator based there.

Jet2holidays’ 12 new destinations for 2016 are Crete, Dalaman, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Paphos, Rhodes, Tenerife and Turin plus exclusive routes Kefalonia, Larnaca, Vienna and Zante.
As a result of this growth 150 new jobs have been created, a 53 per cent uplift in the number of roles available last year, plus a fifth aircraft will now be based at Edinburgh Airport.
