Salzburg - Gateway to the Austrian Alps

Fly to Salzburg

Fly into Salzburg Airport and you’ll be in prime position for exploring some of Austria’s top resorts. Make the most of our friendly flight times, 10kg hand luggage and the option to add up to 22kg baggage* and ski carriage*. Plus, did you know you can arrange your transfers to resort with us too?

One of the most popular ski areas is the Ski Amadé, a vast network made up of well-known resorts like Flachau, Wagrain and Altenmarkt. With over 760km of slopes, modern lifts and fab facilities, it’s ideal for families, beginners and seasoned skiers alike. Saalbach and Hinterglemm are also prime picks. Both resorts are perfectly positioned in the heart of the SkiCircus region, where a variety of terrain welcomes all skillsets with open arms. Kitzbühel is well worth a visit too, with just as much to do on the slopes as off. We’re talking a casino, bowling alley, cinema and more.

When it comes to winter holidays with the little ones, ski-in, ski-out accommodation is a big plus. Obertauern delivers on this front, and many others, including its snow-sure slopes and range of activities. Filzmoos also packs a winning punch, with its relaxed vibe and fantastic ski schools. Many resorts near Salzburg offer cross-country trails and winter hiking, so there’s really something for everyone!

The Kitzsteinhorn Glacier ski resort is the highest in the area, with lifts topping out at a whopping 3,029 m. These slopes are some of the most snowsure in Austria and are easy to reach from the village of Kaprun.
