Fancy more time skiing, less time travelling? Pick a resort that’s closer to the airport. Chamrousse, Les Sept Laux, Alpe d’Huez and Les Deux Alpes are all great resorts with less than two hours’ transfer time from Grenoble Airport. Serre Chevalier is just over 2 hours away.

Les Deux Alpes is the highest ski resort in the Grenoble area, with slopes at 3,523m. You’ll find the largest skiable glacier in Europe here, as well as plenty of après activities. Elsewhere, with more than 80% of the pistes located above 2000m, Serre Chevalier brings great snow mixed with Southern French vibes.

Méribel, Courchevel and Val Thorens all make up the Three Valleys and form the largest ski area in the French Alps. There’s something for every ability here too. Towards the Italian border, Serre Chevalier takes the place of the biggest ski area in the Southern French Alps.
