We wanted to let you know that due to the power outage affecting all terminals at Manchester Airport this morning, we are experiencing disruption to all flights returning to Manchester today.

Whilst we have taken the decision to cancel some of our outbound flights from Manchester, we want to reassure all customers currently overseas that all inbound flights to the UK will operate.

If you are scheduled to return to Manchester today and you have not already been contacted and your flight rescheduled, please proceed to your departure airport as normal, if you have a Jet2holidays transfer booked, your transfer time will remain as planned.

 As you can appreciate the events are evolving and our UK based operations team are working hard behind the scenes to get you on the way as soon as possible. As a result of a power outage affecting all terminals at Manchester Airport this morning, we have experienced significant disruption and cancellations to our flights departing from Manchester Airport today. Due to the outage, some flights departed with reduced or no luggage as we were unable to load bags onto our aircraft, as the baggage system at the airport was inoperable during the outage. 

Please be advised that our UK-based Ground Operations Team will work hard to ensure that we get your baggage to you, as soon as we can, as you can appreciate this may take some time and we will endeavour to be in contact with you by the end of the day on Monday 24th June 2024.

We understand how frustrating this situation must be and although the situation was beyond our control we will do everything we can to get all luggage to its final destination as soon as we possibly can.

We would like to apologise but due to an earlier power outage affecting all terminals at Manchester Airport, we have unfortunately been required to make the difficult decision to withdraw our Twilight Check-in Service for all flights due to depart on Monday 24th June 2024. The Royal Highland Show is taking place at the Royal Highland Centre between Thursday 20th June – Sunday 23rd June 2024. It is expected that traffic and congestion around the area will be heavier than normal. Please allow extra time for your journey to Edinburgh Airport and make sure your contact details are up to date in Manage My Booking. If the situation changes, our team will be in touch. We have been made aware of road works between Junction 23A and Junction 25 on the M1, one lane will be permanently closed on the Northbound and Southbound carriageways with a 50mph speed restriction in place. Delays are likely during peak hours.

There will be sporadic closures of Junction 23A slip roads, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00. There will be signed diversions. Please allow enough time to travel to East Midlands Airport as all Jet2.com flights are due to operate as scheduled.

We have been made aware of road works between Junction 5 & 6 of the M56 beginning Monday 10th June expecting to be completed by the end of August 2024. 

There will be closures of the M56, please refer to National Highways for specific dates and times of closures throughout this time frame. 

Diversions will be clearly signposted throughout this time. Please allow enough to time to travel to Manchester Airport as all Jet2.com flights are due to operate as scheduled.
