Information before you travel

Please check this section of the website at least 12 hours before your flight for the latest flight information. Further information can be found by using the below search panel by entering your flight number or route. We recommend arriving at the airport at least 2 hours before your scheduled departure time. Please remember - check in desks close 40 minutes before this. In the event of flight disruption our dedicated Operations teams are working hard behind the scenes at our UK-based HQ to get you on your way as soon as possible.

Italy - Public Transport Strike Action - 12th December 2025

We have been made aware that there is strike action taking place in Italy on Friday 12th December 2025.

These strikes will potentially have an impact on all public transport including trains, buses and metro from 00:01 until 21:00 on Friday 12th December, these are local times. 

Currently all Jet2.com flights are expected to operate as scheduled. Please ensure you leave plenty of time to get to the airport as our check-in desks close 40 minutes before your departure time.

If you have a transfer included in your Jet2holiday or Jet2CityBreak, our team will be in contact should this time need to be amended as a result.

Our dedicated operations teams are working hard behind the scenes to ensure we have the latest information for you. Please check back here for regular updates. If your flight is affected, we will provide updates via SMS, email and the Jet2 app. You can also log into Manage my Booking to ensure your details are correct. We look forward to welcoming you on board.

Portugal - Strike Action - 11th December 2025

Due to the strike action in Portugal which took place on 11th December 2025, we have made the unfortunate decision to delay all flights to and from Faro until 12th December 2025. Although this is completely outside our control, we'd like to apologise for the inconvenience this has caused.

We can now confirm that all revised schedules for these flights have now been published on our website. Please use the Flight route or Flight number boxes to view your new flight schedule.
 
If you do not want to travel on this revised flight, you can receive a refund for this, the best way to do so is to contact us via WhatsApp using this link: https://www.jet2.com/whatsapp or speak to our Customer Helpers at the airport.

Due to forecasted adverse weather conditions we have made the unfortunate decision to cancel all flights to Madeira (Funchal) on Friday 12th December 2025. Although this is completely outside our control, we'd like to apologise for the inconvenience this has caused.

Jet2.com Flight Only Customers

If you are a Jet2.com Flight Only passenger, we will be cancelling your booking for flight tomorrow and will now process a full refund for your flight out to Madeira (Funchal). If you wish to still travel on your inbound flight, please contact us on WhatsApp using the following link: https://www.jet2.com/whatsapp

Please allow up to 7 days for this to reach your original payment method. We are very sorry for the disappointment this will cause. If you would like to rebook another flight, please visit Jet2.com, subject to availability.

If you booked directly with us and would like to rearrange, please call us on 0333 300 0702 (Monday to Friday 08:30 – 20:30 and Saturday and Sunday 08:30 – 19:30). 

If you booked with a travel agent, please contact them directly to discuss your options.

If we have not heard from you by 18:00 on the 15th December we will process a full refund to your original payment method.

Madeira (Funchal) to UK – 12th and 13th December 2025

Our Operations team have been closely monitoring the forecasted weather in Madeira (Funchal) for the upcoming weekend. Unfortunately, there is no improvement predicted and as a result, we have had to make the difficult decision to pause operations until the forecasted high winds are expected to subside.

Due to this change in schedule, customers that were due to travel on 12th and 13th December respectively, we have amended your flight to our next available flight, which will depart back to the UK on Monday 15th December. Our team will be in contact by via email with your new flight details.

As you won’t be flying until Monday, our teams have arranged accommodation for you during this time, including transfers to and from this hotel. Please see below information regarding this.

Jet2.com Flight Only Customers 

Please make your own way to Madeira (Funchal), at least 2 hours before your original departure time. Our friendly Customer Helpers will be on hand to assist you with transport to your accommodation and further details.

Jet2holiday, Jet2CityBreak or Jet2Villas Customers 

For customers due to depart on Friday 12th December, please get on your transfer as previously communicated to you. Once at the airport, our friendly Customer Helpers will be on hand to assist you with transport to your accommodation and further details.

For customers due to depart on Saturday 13th December, our Jet2holidays team will be in contact with you to arrange for you to be collected from your current resort and taken to the accommodation we have booked for you.

Alternatively, you can cancel

You can cancel and ask for a full refund of the fare for your delayed flight. If you have a return flight with us, you can ask for a refund for this too. We can process your cancellation today. Please contact us via WhatsApp via the following link: https://www.jet2.com/whatsapp.

If you do choose to receive a refund, we will not be able to offer any hotel accommodation – and you will not be able to make any further claim against Jet2.com.
